When you think of a picnic what do you think of? Well two of the top things I think of is tea and a picnic blanket. I love having mommy and me picnics with the kids. They love eating their lunch on a blanket on the living room floor. Fixing little finger sandwiches and juice or in my case iced tea!
Davidson Tea is organic and taste great! I loved all the flavors. Better yet so did my family.
Davidson’s Organics is certified organic by the Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) and certified Kosher by Kosher Supervision of America (KSA). Here is how we guarantee the purest uncompromised ingredients possible:
We work with farmers and producers in India, Sri Lanka, China, Latin America and Eastern Europe, with strong commitments to organic farming, to the National Organic Program (NOP) Certification and to the Jewish dietary laws of kashrut (Kosher).
All teas, spices, herbs and natural flavors are pre-authorized by our Organic and Kosher certifier, based on supplier certification and labeling. Every Davidson’s package bears the USDA Organic seal which affirms that no toxic synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, herbicides or fumigants are used in growing crops, and no artificial colors or synthetic ingredients are used in flavors. The USDA Organic icon also guarantees that no planting of genetically engineered crops or use of cloned animals or GE ingredients in food manufacturing is used. Organic farming, under the National Organic Program, forbids controversial GMO (genetically modified organisms) practices in growing and processing teas, herbs, spices or flavors. When it comes to tea, GE ingredients can sometimes be found in the flavors used for non-organic tea. Davidson’s has a firm policy against the use of GE ingredients, and you’ll never find them in our teas.
When ingredients come into our warehouse, they begin a strict quality control and handling procedure involving a series of tests and lot coding, aimed at absolute traceability. To protect the integrity of our ingredients, we screen for foreign materials, pests, proper sizing per approved specifications and heavy metal, which must pass stringent EPA and FDA levels. We also use a NOP approved sterilization treatment method as opposed to irradiation and ethylene oxide treatments, which compromise the quality and purity of the ingredients. These quality control measures and records begin in our receiving department and end in our shipping department, with strict controls all along the way.
As part of thorough inspections conducted frequently, each product must adhere to every certification rule, documentation audit and lot coding traceability. This process allows us to offer you with certainty that our products comply with all of the organic program and Kosher guidelines.
