As a new mama one of your major worries is that you wont be able to nurse your baby. Will your milk come in? Will it be enough? Will it be good enough? Will the baby latch? These are normal worries for a new mom. There are load of things on the market today to help with milk production and some even really help, but most don’t taste very well. I’ve tried the teas and I’ve tried the pills. Most of them work but there are side effects to them.
Mothers milk tea, although it does work (at least for me) it tasted horrible! Like black licorice. I really have to choke it down. I started adding other tea bags to it and loads of sugar just to mask some of the flavor. The Fenugreek comes in all kinds of mediums. I choose to take it in pill form, again because of it’s awful taste. The problem with the Fenugreek though is that when you sweat you smell like maple syrup. Again the Fenugreek pills worked very well for me, but I didn’t like smelling like breakfast all the time.
So here we are at MamaTea. I found them at a party I attended at Blogher. I loved the smell of their loose tea. I was super excited to try this tea. I wanted to see if there was finally a tea that I could drink every day that I liked the taste of and that worked like it is meant too.
Straight off MamaTea looks amazing! You can see all the different elements in this loose tea. All the good stuff that you look for. I love tea. I love it hot and I love it warm. So of course I decided to try it both ways. The first way I tried was warm. It had a very nice smell to it. I know that it has Organic whole fenugreek seed, rooibos, pineapple, apple, rosehip, lemon peel, hibiscus, cranberry, cherry extract, strawberry extract, orange extract, but all I really tasted was the cherry. Then I tried it iced. I have to say that I don’t think I liked it much cold. I will stay having it nice and warm.
All in all I thought this tea was pretty amazing and I look forward to trying the other flavors Cycle-Ease Tea, Preconception Tea, Pregnancy Tea, Keep it Down Tea, New Mama Tea. You can follow MamaTea on Facebook and Twitter.~Amanda
